Risk Management Strategies for Immigration Lawyers in the Era of #MeToo and Trump’s Immigration Priorities

This training will focus on maintaining an ethical practice and managing increased risks in our current political and cultural environment. First, our panel will explore what lawyers should know about legal issues related to sexual harassment and gender discrimination in the workplace, and how to create a healthy workplace for everyone. Second, our panel will review our role as an Attorney, the change in lawyering under this administration, the ethical analysis each Attorney should conduct to avoid malpractice, and lastly the types of grievance committees.

The program is free for those who are AILA New York Chapter members. The cost for non-NY Chapter members is $75. In accordance with requirements of the New York State CLE Board, a reduced fee is available based on financial hardship.
